Canada Student Visa Requirements
Canada Student Visa Requirements Canada
is one of the most popular destinations for international students seeking top-quality education. In order to study
in Canada, you will need to obtain a Canadian study permit,
which serves as a Canadian student visa for the duration of your
stay. You do not need a Canadian study permit if your course or program lasts
six months or less. Nonetheless, it may be a good idea to apply for a permit
before you come to Canada anyway – otherwise if you decide you want to continue
your studies in another program, you’ll need to leave Canada to apply for a
study permit through a visa office. You need to apply for a Canadian study permit
before entering the country. To be able to apply for this permit, you should
have been accepted by a designated learning institute (DLI). You can check your
institute’s name in the designated learning institutions list offered by the
Canadian Government here. The list only includes schools at the post-secondary level.
On your application form, you will have to write the DLI number which you will
get from the above link. There are some institutes that may not have a DLI
number, but if you can find their name on this list, then it means they are
eligible to take international students. For undergraduate courses, a student needs to
score a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four sections with an aggregate score of
6 band at least to ensure a student visa. For postgraduate courses, the
students need to score at least 6 in all the four sections and a minimum total
of 6.5 band as the combined score for the student visa. With the
above-mentioned score, the candidate fulfills the Canada Student Visa IELTS
band requirements 2019 and just needs to make sure that the rest of their
requirements are perfectly on point. Applying for the Canadian Student Visa? Do
